Teen Sessions and Packages CERTIFY DMV ROAD TESTS FOR LICENSED ARE AVAILABLE FOR 16 YEARS OLD.
Wearing Driving Academy is licensed to conduct ROAD TESTS by the State of North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles for 16 years old that has completed 9 months of training. To take the road test you MUST be: 1. at least 16 years old. 2. Have a valid level 1 learner’s permit. 3. Have held the permit for at least 9 months, and 4. Have logged 60 or more driving hours. There are two reasons to use Wearing Driving Academy for your ROAD TEST. 1. At DMV there is 7 days waiting period before you can RE-TAKE the test. 2. At Wearing Driving Academy, the wait time is only 48 hours (2 days) before you can RE-TAKE the test. Our goal is to safely teach and train a new generation of drivers one student at a time how to be a defensive driver. We will teach the students how to avoid bad driving habits that lead to many preventable collisions. They will learn how to spot and react to potential hazards. Follow the rules, regulations and guidelines set by the DMV. PUT SAFETY FIRST. By doing these and many more like it, will change a generation of driver’s and help make the highways, roads and interstates a safer place for all of us.
VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON CLASSES:
1. Complete Driver Education Package for teens: $795.00 cash / Credit Cards – $818.85 for 30-hours of Classroom and 6-hours Behind-The-Wheel Instruction. Your two-hour driving window begins and ends at the instructor’s driving location whether you are behind the wheel or receiving instructions/training.
To secure a seat in our driving sessions, please fill out the registration forms and check COMPLETE or PARTIAL package and make payment at the end of the form. A seat deposit of $50.00 is (non-refundable), unless we are given at least 24 hours prior notice to the start of your scheduled class. The remining balance is due on the first day of class. A $50 administrative fee will be retained regardless of cancellation date. Next In-Person & Virtual combine classes sessions will start NOV: 4th at 8 am – 2 pm. Seats are filling up fast, so fill out your registration form early. Driving portion may take up to 2 – 3 weeks to be scheduled after the classes have been completed.

Teen Driving Training Course: The teen course consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction teaching key topics such as North Carolina laws, signs, pavement markings, basic car control, defensive driving, alcohol awareness, speeding, adverse conditions, handling emergencies, accidents, insurance, and seatbelt use, just to name a few. Classroom participation is encouraged through classroom activities, lectures, and movies. Behind-the-Wheel includes 6-hours of driving instruction.
